T&S Asset Management

For listed companies

For CFOs, finance teams, statutory auditors and internal audit of listed companies running lending through an overseas subsidiary or joint venture.

01The challenge

  • Lending in an overseas subsidiary has to close each month on the group’s timetable.
  • Auditors expect segregation of duties, approvals and an audit trail they can test.
  • Authorities abroad expect returns that agree with the books.

02What T&S does

Month-end close

The month’s lending entries come out of TS LMS as a journal that must balance before it can be exported, with a checksum so the same file can be recognised later. In TS Accounting, a closed month accepts no new postings; reopening needs a reason that is recorded, and a closed year carries balances forward and locks every period.

Internal control

Segregation of duties: each role sees and does only what it needs, and everything else is refused by default. Dual approval: releasing money, writing off, waiving, changing credit limits, credit policy and products, and granting user access each need a second person; whoever applied for a borrower cannot approve that loan.

Audit support

A read-only auditor role in TS LMS can see everything and export, but change nothing. Auditors can receive the audit log for a period with proof of where it sits in the chain, aging, transaction, write-off and vintage reports, and loan-level data; every download is itself recorded.

Regulatory reporting

Our approach: returns to each country’s authority are prepared from the same loan records used for management and audit, so the figures agree. TS LMS provides the building blocks: portfolio at risk by age, write-offs, vintages, roll rates and loan-level data. TS Accounting records every journal line in its own currency together with the exchange rate used, so figures for each country’s returns can be shown in local currency and in the group’s reporting currency.
